Don't get the dog thing myself and they make me sneeze generally anyway, but know how much Thor meant, so great that you can give another GSD a quality upbringing (!)

Cute!

I had 2 male GSDs before. Brings back good memories.

Have fun training him.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

I often think that the world would be a poorer place if they thought like we do

Hi Tut, a fantastic gift, I'm sure the little fella will keep you going.

I got my father a replacement Rough collie (Skye) a couple of years ago - a very similar story he'd decided he was too old to have another dog. As a retired Vet animals have been his life so we didn't being dogless was going to work. She's a great character and really keeps him going. I've just spent the weekend laying slabs, with skye watching every move and turning up with a range of toys to see if I'll play with her.

Anyway, you'll just have to give him attention and let the rest of the family do the serious exercising. Please don't train this one to stop visitors leaving! :D

Great news mate,

I'm sure it was Tom stroking your hand in the dream, and you don't want to know what the water was

Really chuffed to hear about Kahn, and look forward to seeing him at TT09 <BG>

Thanks to everybody for all their kind comments and good wishes.

Most of you knew what Thor meant to us, and although Khan came out of the blue, the difference he has made already is incredible. Hard to believe how quickly he has adapted, eats like a horse, is almost toilet trained after one day, a big improvemnt on me, and trots around after anybody who moves, if he is not sleeping.

He has his first jab tomorrow and last worming, final jab in two weeks, and then I can take him out for good walks, something I was not able to do with Thor since 2005.

Just waiting to see if the old bugger on a donkey passed on any other miraculous powers, in which case McApe is in for a good dicking.........

Mac

He was from ChiaraGSD, http://www.chiaragsd.co.uk/page.php?page_ID=3.

Just a small kennel, they have one litter a year, and they kept a dog and the only bitch from this one. The bitch was the pick of the litter, and a fair bit bigger than the dogs.

They seem to do quite well in showing, we met Ando who has just sired a litter in Blairgowrie, and he was a fantastic two year old dog. I have Khans pedigree certificate here, but have not gone through it yet.

Cheers
