The EU2 engine's have the coil packs on the rear of the block, 99% of these are the 143bhp engine. (Red and black plugs on ECU)
The EU3 engine's have 2 coil's mounted on top of the plug's, each coil fire's 2 plug's. These are 160bhp ensine's.

I have recently heard there was a very small amount of 143bhp engines with coils on top although i have never ever seen one and i bet you dont end up with one!

Greg, I think weegie has a plan that is somewhat different to yours, hence he may have an engine, whilst you may not ...

Indeed, my so called engine is not exactly an engine but more a collection of bits to be machined and subsequently rebuilt in my house! All the K series i've seen recently are past 50k miles, precious little history, and going for silly(ish) money on ebay. Finding a good one for reasonable cash just wasnt happening, hence i'm rebuilding a "slightly worn" one.

Greg, are you looking just to drop a complete fresh engine into yours?

Cheers,

Steve

If you're missing bits mate, welcome to look over my old engine (for the right prices of course) It had liner ovalisation and valve stem seals let go, but everything else is fine (inc BP285s & Verniers ;))
