I was unsure whether to use the 2 bucket method or not... so rather than get it wrong, I gave her a blast with the hose.
Next, I needed to decide which cleaning product to use. I analysed the body work and came to the conclusion that it was best to use the Zip Wax instead of the wifes Fairy. Just as well, because Zip Wax was all I could find.
A quick rummage produced a micro-fibre glove thing from my "box o' stuff"... 1 side for body, the other side for wheels... that'll do. Soaked the glove liberaly with aformentioned hose and then shoved the zip wax on to this technological wonder that is a glove.... straight... yep, neat zip.
Applied much elbow grease to body of car, and windows. Applied more zip wax as required.
Used short side of glove for wheels.
Hosed down again.
As I had made the most schoolboy of errors (not using ionised water... I know, ejit) I had 2 options. Wipe her dry quickly, or take her for a spin. A spin ensued.
When home, I managed to find a 2nd micro-fibre glove. This was good news as it meant I could get away with wiping the interior down rather than getting the hoover out for the dusty dash.
I then found some of that bumper black stuff and applied to rear grill & tyres.... no half measures with this job you'll appreciate.
Final job was to stick the battery on float.
This is the result and I'm sure you will all be calling me up for bookings shortly, but please be patient while I get a website set up for my new found talent.
