Hamish
No one is seriously hurt so that's good but sorry this ever happened. I remember paxing you at KH just after you got the car and meeting you again at Kames...
Hope you get another Lotus soon though
See you soon.

Thanks Guys
I havent spoken to Lachie today yet ~know hes mighty pissed off, when I spoke to his G/F yesterday she said she didnt think they were going to get out of it when it was happening
I'd had a play in the rain on the track @ kames when down there last weekend and when we drove back up to the Burogh we were Dawdling along 20's plenty style and letting everything pass us ~so I guess he just got caught out
I know somehow or other I'll either get this one repaired or get another honda'd elise ~ just a few jobs more added to the todo list

Good luck with the repair. Hope to see it back on the road soon.
If its not repairable, buy a standard elise/exige and transport the engine

Well all the wheels appeared to be pointing in roughly the same direction so it probably isn't to bent to be rebuilt

Glad to hear everyone is ok - looks like a terrifying accident. Saw the car at Steve Walkers last night and it looked like a sore one
Here's hoping you get a nice insurance assessor

Glad everyone was fine and as its been said the car can be replaced.
Thats one thing that really puts me off them is driving in the wet and the fact that if you where too roll the thing.

Best wishes to all affected
Lots of factors will have converged...but it is a reminder of the weaknesses of semi-slick tyres in poor weather. Not saying pure treads are always better, Pirelli P Zeros probably weren't!, but all the same be really careful out there not least with the flash rainfall we seem to be getting more of these days. On top of a rubbery road following a dry spell, that is recipe for, erm, well, there you see it.
Fingers crossed Steve W can make sense of all the bits, too good a car to lose!
