Rallytrek in a Gumball Stylee!!

Post by ed » Thu Mar 30, 2006 2:19 pm

One of my mates is organising a trip to Europe in July and i said i would post about it. This one is the first event and being offered at quite reasonable price(IMHO).

The cost is £345 per person for a two seater and £330 per person for a four seater.

See http://www.rallytrek.com for more details.
Would be great to get a few cars on it, am thinking about talking the exige  (and Tom  ).

Highlights include:
An afternoon & evening at the world renowned Nurburgring
Drive the Monte Carlo WRC route through the Maritime Alps
An afternoon & evening in the principality of Monaco
Visit the Emilia Romagna region of Italy – home of the supercar
An evening in the romantic city of Venice
Cross the channel on the high speed 3rd generation catamaran
End of rally presentation, party & prize giving including BBQ & limited free bar.

Anyone interested?

To finish off an excellent trip we/you could also book a Walshy day on the 18th on the way home!

Edit:(sp)

Clashes with Goodwood (Anyone else going this year?) shame sounds like a blast! I especially like the extra points for being dressed as the Bandit in a Trans Am... Calling Shug....

I was thinking about goodwood, but this sounds like fun.not really been round europe before. fun to thrash an exige round the ring(pleasepleasepleaseplease   ).
Also could go to race revival instead in september. maybe not quite as good as the festival but still worth a go i reckon.

Nice one  i do like the "we've ONLY had 500 inches so far- there's normally a lot more. Hopefully you'll be able able to do something with it".
and i grew up skiing in scotland

As for Rallytrek, I reckon it'll be great. Ed and I are going for it, and it'd be fun to get a few more SEers along as well. Come on, you know you want to...

For people that want to, you can make Goodwood on the Friday, and then head off on the Saturday. £345 each for a two seater as it's the inaugural run. After that it's £600 each.

or go to a proper lotus trip to france with lotus on track. drive on proper tracks as opposed to following ed and tom over a mountain slowly.

Rallytrek is similar to gumball(without the police and insane speeds hopefully). A long road trip, taking in some of the best parts of Europe and a trip to the ring.
Mckeann's trip is drive(badly)to a couple of of different tracks, do a few laps, break down, do a few more laps, then crash. Get towed back to blighty on a breakdown truck.
I know which one I'd rather do.

Oh yeah, and Mckeann drives like a girl...

(apologies to the girls).

rallytrek is a chav excuse to go to nice places, like the nurburgring and monaco, and generally lower the tone.

tom cant drive as good as most girls and ed will be gutted when his inferior yota motor goes bang thru oil starvation (if he ever corners fast enough - unlikely)
