I might Frank. My tyres were so greasy today. No grip out of corners but fun. I may try to squeeze two or three more TDs.

You were welcome Brian. Good seeing you and all the others again. I now met 4 out of 5 CR owners in Scotland. Where is the last one hiding???

Mass, a friend of mine has the other CR in Scotland. He lurks on here but doesn't post. I'll try and coax him into a KH visit sometime so that you can meet him :thumbsup

BTW, I see that MMC have a CR for sale at the moment. £35,995. London Lotus also have one with virtually identical mileage for £32,950

Common as muck these Club Racers.......

Neil, I don't think about the values of cars after I buy them. Its a self defense mechanism to avoid being depressed :)

At 33k GBP, its a good buy so long as its straight.

Convince your friend to use the CR as intended :thumbsup

Mass, my  was at the fact MMC were trying to charge £3k more for an identical car, not a reference to what the car may have lost in value. (Which I don't think is too bad incidentally, for a car starting out with a £40k screen price.)

Once I start to use my Elise as intended (starting at Kames on 7th August), I'll get to work on him

MMC prices are often higher than some dealers down south. I know a guy who bought the new CR at around 37k

Is 07/08 the very first time you drive on a track?

Were you driving the SLK55 AMG? I took the SLK350 once (black as well), was ok but the brakes were cooked after 3 or 4 laps.

That's Brian waving :D

Felf sorry for the guy in the red elise who span right in front of me.

Tell me about it, that's why I went to Newcastle to buy mine !

Will be the first time my Lotus has been on track but I have done a little bit of track driving in the past, just not in my car. Itching to get out there, I just hope it's not raining.

Mass
Yes....
Not a track car but great for hooning about the roads

My mate drove his kids around for a few laps then I was going to finish his tyres and pads off......before it goes in for new rubber and brakes.............but the engine management took the huff at the caning it was getting and shut it down to 4000 revs.

Cleared on the road home to Crieff which made for an entertaining drive down Glendevon :cheers

PS

4 340R's must be a new record for a KH track night?

Good luck with it.

I haven't booked for the Kames event but I may pop down if I have a Caterham by then as its a nice drive from my house:mrgreen:

SLKs are great on the day like today with the roof down :thumbsup
