As above, it looks as though it should be easily fixable through the insurance.

As long as you've came out of it unscathed :thumbsup

echo everything on pages 1 and 2 mate, coming back from EDI tonight, in fog, pissing rain and it being 10pm, dark, even the disco was aqua planning through some horrific conditions.

You know i love your car having seen it at Knockers, and it would be a shame to loose such a beautiful 135r, with the mods, but then there is always that feeling off will a repaired car be the same again. Hopefully all will be well, and like Sanj with his 340rR you agreed a good price with your insurance.

Cheers,

Dave

Cheers guys for all the kind words. Will be phoning the insurance co shortly.
From what I could see the rear clam needs replacing. All my experiences of the various repairers up here make me want to push for the car to go to Maidstone sports cars - I would then know when I got it back it would be as new :thumbsup
Can you actually request a repairer like that?

Yes, it is your car....you decide where it goes!
They may request that you get other quotes though!
That may cost you the shed the give you until yours is fixed....but big deal!

Provided the quote is competitive I am sure you can get it sent wherever you like. You won't get a courtesy car if you choose your own repairer, often. Obviously you're at fault (from the point of view of the insurance), so you'll want to avoid any accident management companies - these only make it more expensive and in the long run will cost you more on premiums.

I would agree getting it sent to Maidstone as it's their conversion and they're most likely to spot any subtle problems that have arisen.

Cheers,
Robin

Rotten luck jamie, but glad you are ok. Get it down to Maidstone's and hopefully it will just be a bad memory in a few weeks.

Really sorry to hear this Jamie. I know exactly how it feels to see your pride and joy damaged like that :( Main thing is that you're okay and that it wasn't your fault. I know how good a driver you are, so it's a warning to all of us to take it easy as it can happen to any of us.

Glad you're okay and hope you get it all sorted.

Jamie
A mere flesh wound......in the great scheme of things
Its a (thank goodnesss) plastic upright that you connected with.....

You are ok......... and the 135 "Q Car" looks a straight forward repair.

Surely some of the Scottish Body Shops can sort a new clam and ancilliaries out?

A call to Kevin at Falkland Performance might be in order.....he could possibly facilitate the mechanical repairs /alignment and factor out the clam replacement/painting?
