Stolen MTB - no more cycling for me ! (FALC)

Post by Lazydonkey » Thu Jul 31, 2008 7:26 pm

Some complete scumbag has stolen my mountain bike from the close of my building :rage

The bike isn't anywhere near as nice as some on here but it was a lot of money for me to spend on a bike and i'm still raging. It was a £300 Edin Bike Co-Op Cullin Disc so it's probably pretty rare on this side of Scotland so if anyone knows of a scottish mtb forum where i could post up details (or even better someone could post on my behalf?) that would be brilliant.

Reported it to the cops but, as you'd expect, unless some junkie cycles past them on it i'm unlikely to see it again.

You'd have thought chaining it to itself out of site in my close would have been enough - esp. when there are two security entries to negociate but there you go. Just need to speak to contents insurance to see if they'll cover it. Then i'll need to speak nicely to one of my neighbours to see if they mind me chaning it's replacement to something immovable.

Oh and BTW anyone making jokes about the gorbals will have their tyres let down :thumbsup

Really really really really really f*cking angry.

Hey LD,

Sorry to hear that, scum is scum. They'll get their reward.

Locking it to something solid aint going to get it done and if they got it easy the first time you can be sure they'll be back for another look in a few weeks.

Take care,

Frank

Hugs that suck's
If it was locked and in a stair with a entry system the insurance may cover it certainly worth checking ~last time I looked for cycle's covered by house insurance they wouldnt cover anything over £500

Phone call took longer than I thought there, anyway, I was just going to say, my cousin's bike was stolen from the close of his flat 4 floors up and through a secure entry in the city center a few years ago. Still sh*t :|

little scrotum crabs - all for one hit of junkie dust - i swear vigilanty groups, like Robin hood stealing from the rich to give to the poor should be wiped out, and we should set up groups who protect the poor, and wipe out the thieving gypsy scum that the hard working have to put up with.

it will be flogged for £50 down the pub somewhere - not joking here, but get down the local cash convertors all this week.

Cash converters? Have you been to the gorbals? That's the equivalent of doing your weekly shop in waitrose round my bit :damnfunny

EDIT : Cheers for the sympathy. I cheered up immeasurably when i dropped jon off in the pouring rain to pick up his stupid car and then left him for dead on the way home in my wee panda

Is there anythign else for £300 i should consider?

(And i know that in mtb circles spending £300 is going to get me an utterly pish bike and i need to spend 10 times as much but i'm tights and ive got a motorbike to pay for  )
