Re: Edinburhg Festival recommendations
Neil and Christine Hamilton are doing 2 different shows I think.. one is later in the evening which is a bit "naughty" apparently..
(saw the pair of them out in Edinburgh on Saturday).
Lucy Porter's "bare essentials" show was not so good (too scripted).. but it was her first performance at the Fringe on Saturday night. (saw her in November last year at The Stand, and she was very good).

Saw this last Sunday, "Stefan Golaszewski Speaks About a Girl He Once Loved" at the Pleasance.
It's sort of a comedic play.
He recounts a girl he loved in 99 when he was 18, it's utterly brilliant. You get totally pulled in by his performance.
on at around three ish.

Gamorjobat... Mental Japanese physical comedy
Fringe seem to be getting it in the neck over the ticket situ. We took the kids to see a show yesterday and they had sold twice as many tickets as the venue could hold. We were just about the last people they let in! Lot of disgruntled people kicking about. The line for picking up prebooked tickets was full of people with similar stories.

Stephen Grant - Second at Pleasance Courtyard 18:00.
Comedy - show is about coming second - based on the premise that the performer came second to James May to become the new presenter on Top Gear.
Was really funny and he's up and coming rather than established.

Re: Edinburgh Festival recommendations
Sanj, did you see Jim jeffries this year? Some of the reviews aren't too hot?
Trying to decide what to see on Suday, it's between Jim Jeffries, Tim Minchin and the Comedy Reserve.
All starting between 9 and 10 pm.
We've Mark Watson and Ed Byrne (was superb two years ago) already booked for the Monday night, just need to sort Sunday.
