Willie reckons it'll be about £800+ to do my seats
looks like local "cash in hand but honest I'm VAT registered!" blokey may be my best bet then.....
Willie did say to pop by for a chat but doubt he's gonna knock £500 off that price .....

800 is ridiculous! Baillies in Johnstone last week quoted me 950 + vat

to retrim a new E class (thats 5 seats, 4 door cards) in any leather / suede with any colour stitching. Have you tried them yet? I am going there to pick up stuff tomorrow I will ask the question.

Somone on the board did a DIY job IIRC, tempted with that as wanting to drop a heating element in there too. <$90 for the unit.

That doesnt sound like him.. was that using the genuine lotus fabric/leather maybe? The price he gave me was for using the stuff he had in stock. Plain black leather.. maybe different if you wanted a colour or alcantara..?

cheers Sanjoy & JJ.... let me know how it goes
John... apparently Willie was quoting me for a full re-trim of the seats and what he did for you was just a partial re-trim.
I have standard black S2 cloth seats at the moment and just looking to get them done in leather or alcantara (2 colours) to match the car ... in a someone who cares for their vehicle so as to ensure its value is retained and they dont drive a shed styleeee...
Blokey in my street is an upholsterer and he can do it for £350 all in. Just haven't seen any of his work yet to see how good he is...
.....
seemed like a good idea at the time....
