I've got a 2/3 leg puller which should work if you still need one.
Thanks Kev, I'll give you a shout when I'm back (and have the car back) next week.
Maybe also do Gareths - mini spanners?

No worries :thumbsup

I fly out to Florida on the Friday next week, so if it comes to it, I can always organise to drop it off with Gareth.

It may be that the switch in the steering wheel connects the one wire to earth to activate the horn; that would then assume there was an earth available, perhaps from the way in which the steering column is connected to the car? I would try running a known good earth to touch the wire that you've found and see if it beeps the horn (unless it's obvious that there should be a second wire, e.g. witnessed by the presence of a second spade terminal with nothing connected to it ...).

Cheers,
Robin
I got a proper look at this today, horn push worked fine when 2nd spade terminal grounded. There was also a spring clip thingy which looked like it was supossed to provide a ground to the wheel mount (when this was grounded properly it worked). Anyway, 'adjusted' the clip and all good. :D

Additionally I hardwired a 3-way 12V socket (switched power from the stereo). It's mounted below the dash for phone and satnav charging and adds a 'fast & furious' blue neon lighting to the footwells. :D
When I had the stereo out discovered why the radio reception had been poor...reconnected the aerial. :thumbsup

Excellent job on the blue LED. Now you need Nox cylinders and a dodgy laptop bolted to the footwell and then an infinite selection of downshifts and you'll be a real street racer ...

Beep beep.
