Its all Andy G's fault!

Post by Hugh74 » Sat Oct 18, 2008 7:00 pm

Hi all,

Always been more of a biker but after listening to Andy banging on about the lotus elise, I thought I'd have a shot in his ex red S2 (Now owned by his ex!). That was it, I had to have one. Anyway after going against Andy's advice I bought one blind off ebay for 5.5k! Bargain I thought. Its currently getting some much needed attention at Ali's. Rear toe link bent to buggery. Possibly need a new rear sub frame at some point and the list goes on. Not the end of the world and I had budgeted about 2k to bring it up to scratch.

Anway hello, I've been a long time lurker on this board. Great board by the way.

ps Anyone got a spare S1 exhaust lying around I could buy off them?
pps I was at Uni with Andy so anyone need any doddgy stories about him, I've got tuns of them ;)

Cheers
Hugh

Thanks for the warm welcome. :D

Mikie, will let you know about the exhaust. I'm under strict instructions from Andy not to buy anything else without consulting him first!

As for the stories.............well that might have to wait until I know you lot a bit more.............has Andy mentioned Donkey punches before ;)

Also just wanted to say a massive thanks to Brian from Crawford, just near Abington services at the end of the A702. I'd just picked up the car from near Cumbria and he came up to me at the service station to mention he was a massive lotus fan. I mentioned that the drivers window had just come off its rails and he offered to fix it in his garage just down the road. Next thing I know my windows is fixed, the car is up on the jack and he's checking everything else out. Then took me for a spin in his as its the same S1 as mine to let me compare................I knew I should have been worried when I looked down and saw the Sparco shoes ;) Anyway, top lad, helped out a complete stranger. Brian , if you read this, mine is still getting fixed up by Ali, but when it is I'll pop down as I owe you a bottle of whiskey or whatever your tipple is.

Cheers
Hugh
