Nothing new...Remember some 16+ years ago, an unmarked Sapphire 4x4 Cosworth doing the rounds in Stirling, baiting the boy racer contingent to nail it down the dual carriageway which runs under the railway station...
They also used a bucket of an ' L' reg Rover 400 up until the late nineties...Although not so much for traffic work...
Best I heard, was of an unmarked, Mk2 XR2, with a noisy exhaust which patrolled Glasgow during the early 90's...Liked to roast up behind anything remotely sporty, and see if they'd take the bait...
