Sounds nasty Ali, and coincidently I am just listening on 5live and the wife took her husband into A&E with what turned out to be pneumonia, and it was 10 hours before he saw a doctor, and as you say, the drunks, druggers, sprained wrist, and two pills too many were all going in front of him.

Insist on getting the nerves checked as well as the ligaments. When I cut my right thumb across the joint a few years ago the duty doctor was called out and had been drinking, so sewed it up without sending me to Aberdeen to get it checked out.

Net result was the ligaments and nerves were cut through and it now points backwards in a fixed position.

Unfortunately it is something that needs attending to ASAP as the ligaments shrink and pull back.

ps women, don't you just love them.

Ali,

Sounds like a sore one!! Broken a few fingers in my time playing in goals but nothing that bad.

Just back from Autosport and wasn't overly impressed, maybe just set my expectations too high!

Cherrs guys, much better experince of NHS today!

Had surgery this morning, just a local so could watch all the fun!

Good news was nerves and tendons all perfect but damaged the 'vola plate', needed some internal stitches, cleaning and fishing out the damaged bits of plate. All 'sewn up' within half an hour, 10 stiches on the outside plus cast. Needs splinted for 6 weeks so cant drive, out of sports for at least 2 months...

Thanks to all at ward 39 and theatre at ARI. :thumbsup (literally!)

Back at home now for tea and sympathy. :)

Excuse my left handed typing btw...

Ali

Sorry to hear of your sporting injury. I pity the Grampian Health Board district nurses who now have you and Tut under their duty of care.
Get well soon.

Regards to Nicola and hope she is better as well.......It's a while since you have shown her anything that would make her faint

Ye I know what you mean, if it hadn't been for me wanting to see loads of thing to go racing it would have not been worth the long drive.

Thanks to Stu fro driving the M3 (woose managed 35MPG) to and from EDH.

Still I spent a couple of £k and still have a few things to buy before i go racing.

Thanks all.

Yes G, the tickets went a begging, no refunds unfortunately. Saved me spending a fortune at the show though.

Mr Boag, I showed Nicola your post and she says you're due a spanking...

I started the thumb jokes btw. :D
