I think I would need some help from Robin to implement this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=M0fLadjRP8c as the software does do tracking...

Looks like it was good enough for Lothian & Borders finest, they have recognised the chap and following up. Always worrying when you get emails from a copper. Restores faith though when you see them getting the time to do some actual police work and chase after scum and go for the result.NOOPS 160 wrote:[
I would like to ask the same kinda question, I'm having to install something to protect my dogs , however your footage is ab-it (sorry ) pants......and clarity of faces etc is not the best..... I would need something a tad better unfortunately:roll:

Re: DIY CCTV for your Lotus
Just wanted to send SP a big
for answering all my silly questions and giving me enough great info to allow me to set up the same type of solution for a good mate of mine.
I've set up a couple of CCD outdoor cams running outside his house and its all working great as you can see below:

Thanks again SP.

That was my oldest. He couldn't get the house door unlocked and you can just make out the wife getting out about 17 secs in to the video.

Re: DIY CCTV for your Lotus
Thought I would follow up on my 2008 post after Andy got his race pod nicked. If anyone wants some help setting up a system give me a shout.
Have moved house and only took my 2 years to get the CCTV back up and running. With some minor modifications ....
PC is now a Dell 5100 P4 HT with 1 or 2 gb ram
Installed a Picollo 4 channel video capture card
2 * 600 TV line 48ir LED camera (£17 eBay)
1 * 480 TV line 24ir LED camera (£10 eBay)
Some £1 baluns to run the cameras over cat5, I send power down the same cat5.
System is much better than before mainly due to cheap Chinese kit being available. The picolo card was a bit of a steal and might try out the cheap Chinese cards off flea bay and split the cameras across the to increase frame rate.
Same URL as the first post.
Anyone fancy spotting me online when I am using the chainsaw ?
