Central Locking unlocking itself!

Post by ticktickboom » Mon Jan 12, 2009 3:56 pm

Hi guys,

came down to my motor this morn to find the doors were unlocked. Im positive i locked them the night before, has anyone had a problem like this?

One possibility is another driver may have unlocked them using his remote or the locking module within the car itself is faulty. Spoke to graeme, he had never heard of this happening before, but she'll have to go in to the garage for a check up!

cheers

I would have thought it was likely to be the central locking module, my car currently requires to be locked with the key and the alarm armed using the fob, but the lock pillars in the door won't retract. I've read of some people having the opposite problem where the car won't unlock. Easy fix for those in the know apparently, or a dashboard out job if you get a dealer to do it.
