This place is getting so full of Supercars, so I decided to cancel the order for the Zonda F and bring it all back down to earth with a crunch.
Not as focused a car as the Elise, not as fast either... but I've just done Essex to Livingston in 7hrs including 3 quick stops... and feel fresh as a daisy :D

By not getting a 'standard' version, I'm hoping that it will still allow me to do the occasional track day in it... and get a bit more road use than my Elise did.

Actually did a some monkeying about i n my mates ones at a Walshy day - good fun car - now get your S1 plan going :thumbsup

Never driven one but seen a few on track, and I think it is great that NSU are still persevering with them and daring to be different.

My mate had one and sold it because of these 2 words, nice car though and great rear door trick....

They do a 192 or a 231 Neil... this is a 231 (circa 228bhp).
Only 1 stop was for fuel... managed 300 miles on about 48ltrs... which is better than I expected.
1 stop for a comfort break ... and 1 stop to call the wife.

Keeping the Fiesta ST as the daily driver, so, fuel shouldn't be a major concern... it's deceivingly quick... no kick in the back to let you know that you are shifting... so the first you realise is when you look down at the dash. I surprised myself a couple of times with that.
Sounds like a bike engine in the cockpit almost, when reaching 9k/rpm... although the prodrive exhaust makes it sound more 'normal' on the outside (my wife took the keys when I got back, so as I stood at the doorstep, I was treated to hearing it being strangled as it left the street).

Congrats on the replacement. These can be achieved for good prices these days (per our PMs). Nice to still have something you can still go a drive in just for the hell of it. :thumbsup :drive

Indeed they can DJ.... up until 2 days ago, I was buying either a 350Z or an S2000. But I agreed a price on this that was even better than my expectations ... try find a standard 56-plate (under warranty until Sept '09) 231 model with leather for £7500.... then try finding a PZ for that. £4K banked from the sale of the Elise !!! :thumbsup
