Clare just called to say that the initial X-ray showed that Verian has a fractured spine, looks like a wedge fracture of the vertebrae, they are checking for any further injuries, but hopefully that is all.

We make a good combination at the moment, still recovering from mine, but with climbing back and to over the fence this morning to get from her car to the Ambulance and my car, mine is knackered as well. However Ian and Clare are home for the weekend so they can do their dutiful siblings bit.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Sorry to hear that, not a nice thing to wake up to.

It does make you stop and think. You might be a good, carefull driver and even know the road really well but a small unexpected change in road conditions and something like this can happen through no fault of your own.

Kev.

No cows Ali, but the farmer who owned the field was walking his dog a few yards away. His first question to me was who was paying for his fence, ie the only few feet of rusty barbed wire that was actually still standing when she hit it.

Thanks to everybody for their kind wishes, will pass them onto Verian shortly when I phone to get the final score.
