Anyone any experience of the Larini sports exhaust for an S2 Elise (std 120bhp version)? Slightly confused as they have the Sports version Oval tips @ £374 and the Club Sport Oval tips @ £406. The website says that the Club Sport is "A precision crafted, lightweight, stainless steel exhaust system, for certain track based/bred supercars". Does anyone run this system on their S2 as I intend a mix of road and track use but don't want to fall foul of noise regs or possible MOT issues ?
Can we get discount for the Larini exhausts ?
I also fancy an induction kit so any recommendations or ones to avoid

I had the Club Sport (Round Tips) on my 135R... very nice sound. I still had the CAT in place & it was fine for MOT. Also did a few KH tracknights, and there was a lot louder cars than me there.
It does make you want to hunt out tunnels or go under long bridges so you can hear to sound bounnce off the walls though.

I didn't see round tips as an option but guess they do them. Would that not mean a change or modification to the grill surround ? Must admit I think the round looks more purposefull

Round is for the VVC/135R (ie, the ones with the larger rear grills already).
Unless you want to modify your grills, or get a 3 peice diffuser kit, you're looking for oval. Can't imagine the sound would be too different though.

I've got the Club Sport fitted with std. Cat and it does give a good note under acceleration (Gorrie's bang on about bridges/tunnels

) but don't expect it to be quite for motorway running. The Sport is supposed to be a bit more subtle but I haven't heard one against the other. Choice between the two would come down to personal preference.
w.r.t. the tips on my C.S. came detatched from the rest of the back box so they are in theory interchangable but are a snug fit in the round cut outs as they are larger than the std. VVC tips. (& as already said you would probably need to change the grills/diffuser as the wouldn't fit through the std. oval openings.)
cheers

DO IT! And the Club Sport is the one to go for.
For your car you would want the club sport oval tips. Or if you want to splash out on a 111s grill and diffuser you can go for the round tips. Both sound great. Nice and sporty but not too loud.
I run a larini club sport, hurricane induction kit and an elise parts sports cat. My car is FARKING LOUD and i love it
The hurricane gives a great induction note on it's own and It goes well with the larini.
The Sports Cat makes the biggest noise difference. It adds a certain nastyness.
I have had no problems with my emissions at MOT time.

I'm with Ron on this one. I've got a Club Sport as well as a Hurricaine and the combination of the two really does rock. For the standard S2 you want the oval tips; 135R or 111S it's the round tips.
If you want real rude boy offensiveness, then fit a sports cat too. Ron and I did a road trip in the Highlands a few weeks back and every time he gunned it, the wildlife up high on the hills would scatter.

Performance through tight pants.

2 out of three ain't bad - but you've got me thinking about the sports cat now.
(or putting back on my De-cat pipe

- I haven't fitted it since fitting the Larini as i thought it was a PITA swapping back & forth for MOT time)
