Good to see you back in the fold so soon Dave, and with a great spec car to boot.

Look forward to seeing your first outing at KH, will wave as you go past me.

Looking very nice 8)

Tell me, was it you I saw at the junction in Mason's Lodge at about 5pm yesterday? Was turning off towards Culter on the bike when I passed a yellow caterham waiting at the junction? I gave a big nod and got a bemused smile and nod in return from the driver - I totally forgot I was on the bike and not in a lotus

"In 1993 Caterham created the JPE special edition (named for Formula 1 driver Jonathan Palmer) by using a 2 litre Vauxhall Touring Car engine, putting out around 250 bhp (186 kW) and reducing weight to around 530 kg by such measures as removing the windscreen in favour of an aeroscreen. The JPE was quoted at 0-60 mph times of around 3.5 seconds and, with Jonathan Palmer at the wheel, set a 0-100 mph-0 record of 12.6 seconds".
I'm with Scotty on this you could have taken the scenic route and run it in on the way home

A good looking car

Does that spec of engine come with a steel crank?

I know the MG racers think it mandatory on anything above 200bhp
