I am sure GMSC nights are normally 6-8pm but remember you will need to be there at least half an hour early to sign on etc. In the past it has been done on a first come first served basis. I have done a couple and I don't think either were fully booked. Driving standards were fine, although there were a variety of cars with one or two smokey sheds.

Never done a Hot Marques day, but have spectated at a few and they looked fine driving standards wise. As for Speed Sundays, avoid, don't even consider it. Good fun spectating though if you can put up with the red flags every 10 minutes.

By far the best TD I have experienced for a novice was the Alfa Romeo night. Very few cars on track and all drivers very courteous. I seem to recall it was also excellent value.

Thanx Stewart,

Appreciate the info. I'll defo come along to some of the Glenrothes nights, poss some Hot Marques, for a shot on the track. And I will almost certainly go to the Speed Sundays...but only with my camera :D I might try and see if I can get booked onto an Alfa evening as well.

Cheers,
Pedro :thumbsup

Do you need to be an AROC member or is it just the track fee? Could be tempted to make this my first outing of the year :D

No need for membership - they seem delighted to get the numbers to turn out. (Although I did own an Alfetta in 1974 :) )

Received a response from Steve to say there's still space, so my cheque will be in the post tomorrow! Incidentally, the address he gave me for Jackie is slightly different, the correct postcode is DD4 0SL (the one above seems to resolve to the centre of Dundee).

I bought an Alfa Sud in '77 Brian as a runabout whilst I was looking for a Ferrari Daytona, £6,000 in those days, but marriage changed the plan.

ps thought pattern went Verian or Daytona, Verian or Daytona, Verian or Daytona...........ah well, she was worth it.
