Yep full marks to Scotty, what a hero! Really wish we could have watched too.battle short wrote:Glad to hear scotty did so well, sorry i couldnt make it to watch.. curry was great really enjoyed the weekend good to meet those that were there, hope the lost boys found their way home before breakfast and a big thanks to campbell and alaistair for the scenic route with a little action ( ISUZU Rally) trip down Andy![]()
.....and the brake upgrade order has been placed already! 4 pot Hi-Specs on the front, and 2 pot Hi-specs on the rear, both with increased disc size and some greenstuff padscampbell wrote:No problem, Tut...you know I just always get anxious when you head off in front, as (sometimes) you are not quite sure of the route and in this case we really were in bandit territory before managing to rejoin the A68! Hope the "interview" went OK.
The Elan actually did a fine job of passing things eventually, however he's not used to the sheer ability of an Elise and I guess we have to remember that not all Lotuses are made the sameHis biggest problem was actually brakes. An upgrade is on the cards I believe
As for my brakes...well despite their good thrashing at Donnie, they were still clearly more capable than the Elan's! I need some fresh fluid though and the pads can't have long to go now I fear. Tyres have actually held up remarkably well though.
When I get time I'll stick up a review thread for the weekend I think. Lots to chat about!

Great stuff Ross.Fluoxetine wrote:Great to see everyone, and meet some new faces - Special thanks to Campbell & tut for letting me borrow their cars, so that I could get the chance to drive on track at the LOT thing...![]()
Some pics here: http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... =9&t=20261
(Donington is pretty rubbish to take pics at, without a huge lens / trackside pass... The infield was closed, and the outfield has a 10ft high mesh fence all the way around...)
Cheers,
Ross.
