How does the trackday cover work with these companies?

With the ones that include trackdays do you have to pay them money each time you track it or what?

Ive just started looking for insurance and im getting a bit lost already with the options

Donna

Some Insurance companies like mine give you free Trackday cover for four events a year, you just have to inform them in advance, which so far I have forgotten to do. Try Mary at Richard Eggar for a quote, they specialise in Track cars.

Big shout to CCI - just took out a new policy with them and they quoted me £363 on my car with all the mods declared and kept on a driveway.

That's with 4 TDs included as well.

I'm with CCI as well, though Erica was just quoted 900+ for her VX so they can be a bit hit or miss!

It seems I probably have a pretty sweet deal (especially looking at s29ttc!)

R reg S1
27yr old with 5 years NCB (+dad as named at no extra cost!)
Area of Dundee that is often on fire (on street)
7500 miles per year + track days
£340 something.

My Admiral renewal was cheaper at a touch under 300, but I went for the track days

Erica ended up with Diamond for her VX, 25yo, 6 years ncb, protected, decent excess (ie <450!) and a number beginning with a 2 though I can't remember what. 280 comes to mind. These Square-lises have something going for them...

Remember folks, you have to let them know in advance of the track day.

5000-6000 a year

Right now I am getting quoted between £1600-£2500 mostly with some companies looking for £10,000 extra. One reason to grow older quicker  Worth every penny though.
s29ttc, when we first got our elise, we were 22. Ours was an R plate 135 Sport upgrade, had 2 years NCB, same mileage, Aberdeen Car Park. Most Insurance Companies wouldnt touch us (Direct Line, Norwich Union, etc) but Admiral gave us the best quote. Something like £700-800 IIRC and £300 Excess.

Think Tut has mentioned this on another post but for some reason telling Admiral the car is kept in a garage seems to put the premium up!! :?: :!:

We're now about to look for someone who wont charge a fortune for a Honda Powered Lotus. :? Will give CCI a phone first seeing as you all recommend it!
