CCI insurance - proof of membership

Post by donnac » Wed May 06, 2009 7:54 pm

Just a quicky, i took out insurance with CCI on Friday and just got the docs today, the lady asked me if im a member of an owners club and i said Scottish Elises as this is where i found her contact details, the forms ask for a club member number or proof of membership? Can anyone else who took out CCI insurance tell me what it is i need? or do i need to join Club Lotus or something to get a card?

I will call them tomorrow to confirm but just wanted to get a heads up :thumbsup

p.s the service i recieved on the phone was excellent, such a refreshing change from dealing with A Flux, and i got a fantastic quote too :cheers

S_E did not count as a qualifying Club with my Insurance Company, I used LOT and SIDC can also be used as well as any Motorsport Club.

It'll take them a while to send you your membership card but a screenshot of you logged in seemed to be enough when I did it

CCI accepted SE "membership" from me when I first signed up with them a couple of years ago. Can't remember exactly what I sent them - a screen print of my profile probably even though doesn't give full details about you. I think all they want is some kind of proof you are an enthooooziast.

Is being daft enough to buy a Lotus in the first place not proof enough of that?? :)

EACC should be a good club to quote for Richard Egger going forward; we've just switched the track's insurance to them and sjould be advertising them trackside soon. :thumbsup

It doesn't normally, but companies such as Richard Eggar who are covering high performance cars that do trackdays have it as a requirement.
