Lotusless in 2009

Post by pete » Fri Jun 05, 2009 2:08 pm

So my car has been off the road since Christmas. I'm not going into it all here it's too depressing.

But the head was sent back from DVA and arrived at SLS last night. Ready to go back on the car, and the car back on the road.

The head was damaged in transit, a corner snapped off. So what's going to happen now? A long protracted row between the courier and DVA?

I JUST WANT MY F*CKING CAR BACK. FIXED.

I feel your pain, proper kick in the balls about the head- was it insured? How well was it packed?

They must have been playing conkers with it to do that!!! Really sh*t stuff mate.

Has Ali not got an engine he can put in your car in the mean time till yours is sorted? Not exactly a huge amount of labour involved and at least it would get your car back on the road while your engine was being fixed.

Ludicrously considering how long this has all taken nothing was being upgraded. Just fixed. The head was with DVA for a hardness test.

Ah-so.

I still have my K head which you could have used in the meantime, but it is 190hp so would need T/B's and an Emerald.

Sorry to hear that Pete . That is a shockingly long time . Would of been quicker converting it to a pedal car . You are welcome to take my car for a spin .

Why has it taken half a year to send a head away to get tested and then to come back, labour and transit-damage stuff aside?

I can well imagine being Eliseless would be a big downer with all the great roof off weather recently.

Also curious to know why there has been such a huge delay - splill the beans!
