Re: HELLO FROM EDINBURGH
Welcome. I'm in Edinburgh too and make the daily journey to work in east lothian - they truly have some crap roads to drive a lotus on!
Re: HELLO FROM EDINBURGH
Hello again guys,
Thanks again for the warm welcome from you all, howevetr tall you are and wherever you may live - you are all a friendly bunch!
Great to see so many locals also in the gang also....
Undone, where about you work? You are right, not too many great roads around for coasting along - although there are a few nice spots I have used for photoshoots along the coast road.
Many thanks,
Andy

Excellent idea Tut, and I shall be there but don't want to impose and take up anyone elses ride/time and efforts - the opportunity just to have a good look around would suffice. Are Knockhill ok with spectators/visitors on such days?Hi Andy, welcome to Scottish_Elises and as you say we are indeed a friendly bunch.
Our next event is a Knockhill trackday organised by SIDC on Saturday 27th June from 0900-1300, and there will be more than twenty of us from here on the track.
If you can make it, it would be a good opportunity to meet everybody, and get out as a pax in different cars.

Chortle - don't worry about that. Most folks are more than happy to take out passengers and show off their motorsAVIATOR wrote:

KH are fine with spectators, just turn up for the briefing and sign up for a passenger wristband (free)

Well, I am going to call myself a local, although have lived in East Lothian for only 2 days now ! Happy to show you around my S2 and take you out for a run. At 6ft tall I actually find the elise one of the few cars I don't have to ratchet the seat all the way back.

Re: HELLO FROM EDINBURGH

Agree with the state of our roads comments. You'd think some of the roads had been mined (in either sense of the word). Best roads are S and SE of Haddington (as discussed on DJ's "I'm moving to East Lothian" thread).
Re: HELLO FROM EDINBURGH
We took a run over from Ballencrieff to Haddington this morning and I was just saying to the wife how I thought the roads were in so much better condition over here. Guess we have just picked one of the rare smooth surfaced roads then, although have to say so far they seem a lot better than the central belt so far....jasonliddell wrote:Another East Lothian (unofficial) posse member here
