There was 2" between me being a hero, but i ended up a zero.

I'm chuffed to bits that you were in precisely the right place to encounter that very, very fine margin. And I know for sure that you don't ride to those margins on the road.

a) when the smile has worn off

b) when the aches and pains have worn off

Yeh, thats one of the reasons i decided to do the trackday so soon after passing. I know some people will think i rushed into it and thats why i went off, but really, you only have to go as fast as you like.

On the road (in car or bike) i leave a large safety margin. The track is the place to push it, but again, i wasnt going sooo fast i thought i would crash, i made a wee mistake, and it cost me. The smile hasnt worn off, sh*t happens, i can laugh at myself for making a boo boo, and i'm glad i did it. I WILL be back asap. The pain is building gently sure i'll be sore in the morning. Just glad i didnt scrimp on the safety stuff

We were laughing but only when we knew you weren't in mortal danger - Martin did say it was quite concerning to know it was you who had fallen and more so when you weren't recovered with the bike.


The look on some of the guys faces in the top paddock when we told them you had only passed your test 3 weeks ago was priceless, most thought we were bullsh!ting so to add that it was only 4 weeks since you sat your CBT was just the icing on the cake.


Just a pity I arrived too late to see you on track.

We were expecting to see your happy smiling face in the passenger seat of the recovery jeep and when we didnt you were quite concerned.......for the 2 mins it took us to find out you were ok at which point the p*ss taking resumed

Seriously though I've been telling everyone that motorbikes are farking scary, really difficult and will take years to master and you rock up with last night's performance. Seriously seriously impressive and very annoying

Did you find the lines much different on a bike to car?

Pleased your okay, and found myself laughing at the pics of you post crash! Anyone else would most likely be shaken up - not you! It looks like you didnt stop laughing from the moment you got your breath back!

Don't polish it up too well. It's a badge of honour.

Too many shiney bikes that go slow or don't like the wet. One thing I have noticed is that all the gear doesn't make you fast as I've said before, (meaning the Rixla Suzuki guy BTW not your Alpinstars gear ). You need to get yourself over to the TT if you want to see balls of steel.

Like you, I fell off on my first bike trackday too but enjoyed it imensly. Luckily mine was jus a lowside at the hairpin, al la,............ loads of folk

Did you have full race support there, Trailor the bike etc? At least I rode mine home.

Is it just the bars bent? Worth checking the forks too.

Sorry about your off. It's a learning curve though.

Looks like your getting round the curve faster than most

If the forks look twisted just loosen off the lower triple clamp pinch bolts and bump the forks a few times.

Dave, Tell me you didn't call that bike "Sandra" FFS.
