Unfortunately I may have had some of these vehicles if it had not been vetto'd by the other half:

My suggestions over the years were:
HF Integrale
E30 M3
968 ClubSport (don't think anyone suggested this yet)
Alfa SZ
Renault A-610 (later version as per the one in that dodgy soap of some island between England/France)

Luckily there was no veto on the Elise S1 so I won that discussion :D
Alpine A110S
Mini JCW
Range Rover L322 4.4TDV8
Land Rover Series 2a softop

Woody - XJ220 only has a V6 ;)

Phil - Thought about an R34 this morning. I would still seriously consider one were it not for the disappointing Evo review a few issues back where their conclusion was it was tired by today's sportscar standards. Weird how your impression can be tarnished by reading an article or watching TG. Also note the rise in 964RS alongside the Richard Meaden effect :)

Boagmeister - of course you can play. Exotica is hard to define, you're right. Dave's suggestion of a 993T could arguably be within the definition at circa £50k - and my rules prevented me from suggesting the C2 993 which has been a banker for a while.

Edited to attempt to make sense
Ferrari 458
Porsche 993 C2
Disco V

Why not a Renault Spider

Considering they cost around £20-£25k brand new (if I remember correctly) and quick trawl through the Autotrader has them at £19k.

Surely they must be an appreciating classic come time.

Absolutely love those cars, so few of them still remain which is a shame.

The Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona that I nearly bought for £6K when I came back from Oman in '77 fairly well loaded, then married Verian instead.

£250K at its height, £166K on Pistonheads at present.

Really? Next you'll be telling me it's only RWD.

The SZ being an NZ V6 of course, it's in a different power league.

Pretty exclusive as the numbers produced in RHD are very, very low. No wonder I am never see the one that I want in yellow !!

Sanjoy,

That second picture looks like a TVR with Porsche head lights.
