Gooldie's S2

Post by allyrennie » Tue Aug 04, 2009 12:04 am

Some snaps of todays wee detailing session on Euan's S2:-

Car was showing signs of a typical drive into work in Glasgow:-

Image

Image

The car was then soaped up using a new formulation of Shampoo from a chemist who is working on a complete range for me:-

Image

Whilst this was working on the car, I set about the wheels, using Bilberry wheel cleaner and a new sponge from the states designed for cleaning wheels, a triangular microfiber mitt type arrangement, what a huge difference to the usual methods!

Image

Car was then washed using the 2 bucket method and a new soft lambswool mitt. The car was then dried off using a new drying towel ( Again from America ) - Huge thing!!

Image

The car was then clayed with Bilt Hamber clay and 50:50 Meguiars Last touch. The car was actually in good condition and didn't really have much in the way of bonded contaminents for the clay to lift.

I Then started on the machine correction work, using the new Milwaukee Rotary machine. For anyone considering a rotary machine or has one at the moment, you have to catch up with me and have a shot of this. Its half the weight of the usual machines, has an anti-tangle cable ( Which comes with a 4 metre length, stops you trying to somehow get the extension cable held half way up your back with the 2 metres ones ). The body of the machine is slimmer that conventional machines, making it much easier to get into places that were not possible before. This was used with a selection of 3M pads ( 75mm and 150mm yellow and green ) and a combination of Menzerna and 3M compounds.

Wheels were dressed with Chemical Guys wheel wax and tyres dressed with smart gel on a tyre dressing sponge.

Bodywork was sealed with Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze II, followed by a new product that I'm about to release ( Its all a bit of a secret at the moment but all will be revealed soon - Euan was certainly impressed with the appearance and feel of the car though! )

Interior fully valeted, all trim and dash cleaned and dressed accordingly.

Onto the finished pics, sorry about the lack of great pics, the rain decided to appear!!

What Car Bra?

Thought I had the only Car Bra bought from Aussie eight years ago. No one else is allowed one. Take it off immediately. Mine has to be the first to cup N1's virgin paintwork on a road run.

:damnfunny don't worry tut Marks only talking about the black tape I "had" on the front from the ex bumping her. Must say though tut that's a very nice bra you have what size is it. might look to getting one so my virgin paint work doesn't end up with black tape back on her.

Taking Clark's S2 down so that he can take his Audi and carry onto Glasgow for his holidays the next day.

Twill be his first time on track so he will be driving his car most of the time.

Can't believe what ally managed to achieve, what the photos don't show was the car was covered in swirls and was starting to look extremely dull before he did the paint correction. I am just sorry i didn't get more time to chat to him and get more tips. Hopefully get a better chance when he comes back next week to do my Audi and my brothers car.

Was really just expecting ally to do the paint correction and wasn't aware that he had actually cleaned the inside as well until after he left. :thumbsup

Anyway, thank you so much Ally i'm now back in love with my car. Sorry the weather wasn't as great as we had hoped and look forward to catching up next week.
