Post by Doc883 » Mon Aug 24, 2009 3:28 pm

Well according to Camskill when I requested prices for A048's for my S2:

Their Reply
Yokohama have no stock until 2010, most people fit r888
195/50/16 r888 = £94 each
225/45/17 r888 = £140 each

All prices include VAT . Delivery is £2.45 a tyre to UK mainland only.
Scottish Highlands,Scottish Islands I.O.M AND I.O.W. You can check
the postage online without, having to confirm an order. Single tyre
orders carry a £4.50 surcharge.

IF YOU FIND A CHEAPER QUOTE IN THE UK WITH STOCK ,WE WILL BEAT IT

Ronnie at wheels around was doing them 520 fitted (inc VAT); he can get the tyres next again day at the latest, depending on when you order them.

Assuming you're paying around 10/corner for fitting and balancing, that's more or less the same price as camskill I think.

Cheers,
Robin

BTW, with summer almost gone, I would be fitting Pirelli PZero Neros or Khuma Ecstas or whatever they're called - R888's are excellent in the wet weather when new, but I wouldn't like to be on 50% tread in the depths of winter!!

Robin

Hi Robin, I have a brand new set of Bridgestones on the oem alloys in the garage and currently running Team Dynamics with Yoko A039's. Good point though, will probably finish the current set off @ AMP3 then in the spring swap for either 888 or A048.

Yeah, if you're not actually going to use them, no point letting them go cold and hard in the garage all winter - might as well buy the new Yokos next year once they resume production.
