No noise restrictions at KH, and as far as I know, Jim designs his exhausts to pass at all tracks.

Go for the Lotus stage 3.

Another attempt

Last post again seems to have disappeared into the ether, so apologies in advance if this appears more than once in slightly different wording.

1) Exhaust
Thanks for the opinions – any specific reasons for these choices or is this personal pref? Respect your POV & imperatur!

I know that this topic is already covered well elsewhere, but I have not really been able to find much on the SC at all. Any pointers?

2) R111
I am strangely keen to make sure that my baby got a god home and is enjoying life to the full, with all of the usual pampering – anyone in the NE with a Canyon Red fromm MMC around end Apr / May?

3) Video
If you’ve not checked out our chum at St Louis Motorsport (YouTube) then you should do so ! Hehehehehe. Bugatti is there if you hunt for it, as well as some other tasties incl Lotus.

4) Challenge
Again another personal choice, on several levels! We all want to have the Lotus that we want, but what ticks the boxes? I feel an urge to fit side scoops to the 25. But am sure that the establishment would call this adultery of the 1st order. Also open to the “should have bought an Exige” call. Bur J-woman was insistent on Elise (well sort of)!
NTI + Carbon?

Seriously, am I barking?

or just wicked!

Stage 3, as I have been told by many that the Club Racer (Exige S with the Stage 3) is the best sounding Loti on track.

I'd speak to Jim at 2bular for an exhaust.

Welcome from another Type 25 SC owner, I just love the car. Where are from, would be good to have a blast and see the 2 cars together sometime.
I'm considering the Lotus stage 3, I know 2 cars with it fitted, Mass's and Andrew's silver sc both sound great.
Elise SC Type 25 Jim Clark special (keep for a long time spec)
Mini Cooper (racing spec)
Range Rover Sport (family spec)
Defender 90 CSW (sad spec)
BMW Z3 (daughter spec) For Sale
Clio Sport 197 (son spec)

Thanks for all of the welcomes, advice and encouragement! Certainly gives food for thought. I am also very happy with the car, but as ever, always seeking a little bit more! Stage 3 seems to be nosing ahead of 2bular.

Despite keeping my eyes open I have not yet seen another Type 25 SC in the flesh, and would agree that it would be great to see them together. I think there are 3 here in Fife, with a total of 5 or 6 in Scotland, if I recollect what Graeme said. May have, or may not have been me in Pitscottie!

I must clear some dates in the diary and get along to some of the events before the weather deteriorates, though the prospect of an impromptu run is always welcome.

:D

New to this BB m'larky and last 2 efforts have gone uposted, which seems a little rude given the number of welcomes!

Can confirm identity on new car as a Type 25, from MMC. In the 111R you could refine your gear changes to get some very nice 2nd cam action, without going mental. The SC is much less involving until you glance at the speedo. But then you drop a gear...

But it doesn't make the noise I want! Anyone with an SC and 2bular? And how would this be for KH or a Walshie? Got to keep options open!
J-Man

I have a SC with a 2bular and it sounds superb, the original exhaust note just does not do the car justice in my opinion

Im in edinburgh if you want to come out in the car and see what you think

You have no issues with noise regs with the car, I have done KH, Oulton and Snetterton and passed the noise test easily

Get yourself down to Walshy, or bid for the AMP3 session with him next Friday.

Good to see someone wanting to use one of these on track :thumbsup

I was definately thinking along those lines, but it would seem that there might be a problem for some if Walshy gets out of your car, thereby altering your weight distribution!
