I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

No! the weather wasn't . It was pretty heavy rain all night apart from about 1/2 hour between 7.15 7.45 . still it was a good night . First time out in the exige was not using it to its potential , but had fun . The traction control was on and i am sure it saved me a couple of times from over cooking it. Brian J and Mas where both going well .

Yes -it was wet and then wetter - but not too busy, so that you could play around with lines to avoid the rivers.
Unusually for me, really enjoyed the wet - but hoping for better weather for next Friday - not much fun chatting on the pit wall in a monsoon.

Well that was wet
A monsoon started when I was putting the car on the trailer I was got soaked to the skin. Ended up stripping off in the pick-up and driving home in just pants and bare feet. Went real canny for the first few laps (too canny really), but at the red flag stoppage fulled up and ran to the end of the session - I guess over an hour on track. If I kept going I stayed dry; if I stopped I got wet. Towards the end I seemed to running the same pace as a light blue Exige (Gulf? couldn't see if there was a stripe or not), but every time I came out from the hill on railway he was pulling away from the hairpin. Wasn't inclined to try to lift the pace as anything over half throttle just broke traction. I can tell on the throttle when the secondaries are about to open so I used that as a guide most of the night and just ran with that as a maximum. Gave it some beans on the main straight a few times but I could feel it losing traction around the start/finish line so eased off there too. Feel like I've done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson this morning; it's a heavy car to drive with no power steering and no servo on the brakes, or maybe I'm just getting to old to drive long stints. Given the conditions I was surprised I only saw one spin; I saw the Dreadnought MG off the track which was the red flag event, but I think that was maybe mechanical? Great safe driving in slippy conditions all round then. But I'd still rather it was dry.....

Typical KH weather
The wet surface wasn't a problem (thanks to Eagle F1) but visibility was often very poor. At some point, it was so bad I couldn't see the car in front of me. Some scary moments

It was good to see you on track. I am sure I've seen you at KH a number of times before. What's the spec?
Pete, well done for taking out your stunning Exige PP. I think the colour is almost identical to my DSV.
Dave, not sure if an Elise is an ideal wet trackcar.......

A few wet days under my belt now
and I’ve enjoyed most of them, but there was something different about this one. The grip seemed very unpredictable but when I got home and looked at the data it showed a PB in the wet - so maybe I was pushing harder than before.
As tvrolet says, there was a slippery bit at the top of the hill where I had a nasty aquaplaning moment. Interestingly, my video show the tachometer spinning up then dropping to below road speed as I lift off. I was traction limited on most of the circuit and Railway Bend (if that what's it still called) was a high speed drift at times - but the main lesson of the day was my lack of talent compared to the other R400.
Thanks to Kevin for the pax in a sensible car and it was nice to see folks again.
