Vinnie, you should try being in a minority of 1
Thanks again John for another well organised event - really enjoyed myself, all the more so because I managed to keep it on the black stuff this time out (my lesson the other week definately helped me with the hairpin and chicane - but a lot more work to be done on duffus).
Wasn't really aware of any of the black flags, also didn't seem to see much in the way of blue flags this time out, quite a few yellows and cars driving back off the grass (duffus seemed to be particularly tricky yesterday)
cold weather seems to make a real difference to the westie, 1st lap or two after every break and it was really slippery, managed a wild tail out slide through carlube on cold tyres. On the plus side new Ferodo pads seemed to be working well almost from the outset.
I'll join the growing band of people tanking Mass for a pas lap - mass you should start taking tickets...
suprised how well the car was going later in the day - got carried away and stayed out for a 30minute stint towards the end - the car just seemed to get better and better as it gets more heat into the tyres - even after that time on track all the pressures and temps were bang on the money. Loving it
good to catch up with folk from here, dave hope the refurb goes well - R400 looks great as it is

Ken, good to see you are getting used to the XTR. It's not the easiest of cars to drive well. Keep up the good work

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

You are a very professional monkey.

When I was taking Mike out for a pax I said, "I'm taking joker boy here out."
For some reason she thought I said 'yoghurt boy'...

Anyway, she asks me later, "Why is he called yoghurt boy? I didn't want to ask in case it was embarassing..." .

Sorry Yoghurt boy (formerly known as Mike).

Must have been a day for quotes eh Sanjoy? Remember "What's a fluffer?"

Nice dry day although it was baltic as usual ! Spoke to a handful of people but not as many as I would like. Tried to grab Mass but he was mid-operation doing some tweaking. Had a bried chat with Dave ( R400) who looked as though he was in his element. Good to see Donald W and Kenny too. Grovit - your Evo was going like a train. What kind of mods to those silver Evo's have. The faster one has a black door.
I really ought to review the People Pics section to get to know more faces for the next time. Conversations tend to get a tad disjointed on track days !
Cheers to one & all

Forgot to add there was a chap there with short hair ( Blue bag for his helmet with 3 initials on it). You seemed to know who I was but I had no recollection of you name (
). Please step forward so I dont make a diddy of myself again

Whose 75 year old father did I take out?
May not have been a track record, but it was probably an Elise record for a combined age of 144 years. Pleased to say that he really enjoyed it.

Nope, usual pace. That was Klaudia Cal that came down with me. She was there for Andy's Charity day two weeks ago as our Pit Babe.
She is a FRIEND of my son Ian and and gets on very well with Scott and Holly.

Sorry I've missed you Cal. I spoke with Dad for a while after the session.

Another great SIDC KH track day. Amusing watching AndyG's late braking in the mule <50m
It was busy on track early on but cleared as the morning went on. Front tyres and brake pads had seen better days but held up well. Tempted to do the HM session in the afternoon but bowed out gracefully
Mrs C was on board for a few laps and is now able to appreciate how quick Ali C can pedal
Tried to lead Ali for a few laps but a discreet application of his sidelights meant I had to give way to talent over enthusiasm
Driver and car weight reduction program now in preparation for the next TD
Racing Mini had a big moment at the bottom of Duffus in the last mad 15 mins, thought it was going over but he kept his foot in to clear the gravel on the left
