I am sure the GTR is great to drive, but I wouldn't consider it for the same reason I would never buy an Impreza or Lancer Evo. There is just something about them which is a bit, well, naff

. The GTR is a shellsuit from Burtons, the Evora is fine tailoring

Now we'll see who dick's who

. 2 cars the same, good roads, and they don't belong to us. I foresee two very nervous salesmen

Got a feeling it will be a Sunday flat hat afternoon drive, but to be honest I very rarely drive anybody else's car on the road, and then well below the pace I would drive my own at.

Tut , Have to agree with you on that, it is someone elses car being driven on the public roads and Graeme has a responsibility to Lotus and MMC to keep their cars in one piece and I guess will suffer the consequences if it goes pear shaped.
Having driven the Evora I think it is an easy car to drive swiftly and appreciate what it will be capable of, taking a test drive car anywhere near the limits should be saved for the track, unless of course Graeme gives the green light to rag the ar$e off it.

Had a sense of humour bypass on here or what ?. It was a joke, remember them do ya..........eh, eh. Thought not.
Just so we are clear I f&&king no it's someone else's car. I know what the roads like that they will be using, it's probably going to be pissing down on Monday, and I have driven/owned quite a lot of fast cars. So please lighten up............Jeeez.
And I doubt very much Graeme will be letting anyone "rag the ar$e off it" as at some point he's going to have to sell it to somone.

Mike, Whooaa there boy - wasn't having a pop at you and I did realise your post was not a seroius one. I was pointing out that the Evora can be driven swiftly and within sensible limits to get the feel for the car.
However, for the record, I believe there was some 'enthusiastic driving' on the previous test rides and my own opinion is that it should be saved for when it is your own money invested in the car and not the dealers.

I would just like to point out that I am not the best pax myself and sitting next to some of the idiots (that can and can't drive) must be a nightmare job.
I would also like to say that I was driving a £60k car that if I had crashed it MMC would have had no demo car for a few months.
I knew the road and felt very comftable at the speeds I was driving at. One mans vision is another mans dream.
I would just like to thank Graeme if he reading this and I look forward to my drive in the 400BHP s/c Evora when it comes out
