Time Attack Knockhill Video

Post by gambler » Mon Nov 16, 2009 12:45 pm

Just found the in car video from time attack at knockhill.

Turned out the car had leak in the exhaust manifold so was a bit down on power. Just over 300 BHP according to the racelogic box

Quickest lap was 58.5

Nice driving, almost looks like your jumping the tyres at the chicane :thumbsup

I do take a pretty aggressive line over the chicane.Adam (Flat Planned Crank)has commented a couple of times that i take one of the biggest cuts over there. You can get away with it in a 4wd car. So its up on 2 wheels and i try to miss the tyres by as little as possible. Often clipping it with my wing mirrors. So i bought some smaller mirrors :thumbsup should be worth a 10th over there!

In Warm up in Time Attack this year there were no tyre bails at the chicane. I decided to give the BTCC line a shot. Much quicker but i ended up throwing a lot of dirt on the track. I was expecting a word from the stewards. The bails were back in place for Free Practice though. :(

It was a shame they had the chicane so tight this year.
Olly Clark's Gobstopper was something else going through there the year before.
It looked like he was landing on the paint at the other side of the track.

They did have the chicane very tight this year. They should have opened it up a bit and let us go through a bit faster.Would be more interesting for spectators.

Olly's car i very impressive. It must take some driving being 900 odd Ponies and road tyres. Its also the most imaculate car i have ever seen. He is a regular in the gravel traps and it still turns up to every event looking like its just driven out of the showroom. Even the inner arches are polished. Just like my car :?
