the modern mini's come with a getrag 6 speed auto box

i have driven a mini cooper auto........possibly the wost 'box ever, it looses soooo much power compared with the cooper manual, dunno how the S would be in auto, but my manual one was fantastico!!

that'll be the issue then, it was an R54 - 2005,

the manual 6 speed getrag is a great box tho, so i would imagine it would make a good smg type box, it was so tight and positive, very snickety snick!

i used to race offroad buggies, they call them sand rails in new zealand - where the 1st frame was taken from, i know a few people in this area that still have theirs, mainly VW beetle engined, however, one guy changed his to fit a scooby engine, and another to use a 2ltr vauxhall, also one of the guys used to build fiat 126 based ones,
