What age of mini 2007 onwards use a 6 speed auto earlier ones use the CVT box

that'll be the issue then, it was an R54 - 2005,

the manual 6 speed getrag is a great box tho, so i would imagine it would make a good smg type box, it was so tight and positive, very snickety snick!

yeah but i ain't going to find a mini engine and gearbox in a skip or buy one for naf all

i used to race offroad buggies, they call them sand rails in new zealand - where the 1st frame was taken from, i know a few people in this area that still have theirs, mainly VW beetle engined, however, one guy changed his to fit a scooby engine, and another to use a 2ltr vauxhall, also one of the guys used to build fiat 126 based ones,

He is also building 2 mk2 escort rally cars right now - talented man!
