S2 Exige front splitter..........

Post by Aldo » Tue Feb 16, 2010 1:53 pm

Hi all,

I managed to destroy my splitter at the weekend after a coming together with a small furry beast.

I made it all the way from Aberdeen to John O'Groats and almost made it back home again without incident. Well.....almost!

I've done a search on the forum and have noticed a lad James (jamssint)on exige.com has been recomended. I've tried to register but I've had no reply as yet. I'm keen to get a replacement ASAP as the car is looking a bit sorry for itself so if anyone has his contact details or knows of someone else who could help me out that would be much appreciated. Even if someone on here is registered there, if they could send james a PM with my details that would be great.

I've also contaced PPS fibreglass who I will be sending a photo to of the remains (the splitter that is, not the cat) to see if they can repair it and potentially take a mould for any future customers.

Cheers,

Alan.

Alan,

there is a few of us in a similar need of repair

I know Peter went to Kintore bodyshop, I went across to castlepark autobody yesterday : both just fibreglass repair and respray (cheaper than a new front spoiler).

Its just a case of finding a bodyshop.

Find a bodyshop, ignore any missing kitty posters you see in the area...

They are pretty legendary at not getting round to accepting new members - I joined years ago and got in fine, but hardly ever visit.

James sold me a nice shiny new black one for £80 - perfect and a bargain.

Kenny has his number IIRC - if not I can search it for you.

Maybe silly question...who is James?

I too need a new spoiler for the front : does he have anymore in black?

thanks for the help folks,

I've managed to get hold of James, £90 delivered for a black gel coat finish splitter is a winner!

He is having to make one as he had none left so will be around a week which I'm more than happy with. He also does carbon fibre splitters along with the small end pieces for the rear spoiler also in carbon for a very good price if anyone is interested.

I'll post some piccies once I get delivery.
