Didn't really know what to add to this.
I only chatted to Brian about 3 times and each time came away thinking what a really nice and friendly guy he was and how funny it was seeing someone turn up to trackdays in a shirt and tie. Very sad.

I'm absolutely shocked.

Echo the above about him being a true Gent - one of the first SE'rs I spoke to at trackdays when I got the Elise a couple of years ago, and he always had time for a chat.

My thoughts go out to his family.

Totally gutted.

As everyone has said already one of lifes true gents.

Like most met him at the usual trackdays and TT. We had a few nights away at trackdays, he even came all the way down to donny on his own to watch me race. It was good to sit down after the race and have dinner with him.

Another good guy taken away to soon.

Thoughts are with his family.

Shocked to read this, Brian truly was a gent, always a great laugh and always went out of his way to make people feel welcome. Such a sad loss of a great friend, our condolences to Linda.

Dom - let us know how much we owe for the flowers and I can get it to you.

Shocked and saddened.

I only met him on a handful of occasions but was always a true gent with an abundance of good humour and friendliness.

Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Slightly numb at the news - Have only just found out.

Brian and I exchanged quite a few e-mails, when I was looking at going racing in the SMRC in 2004, and always caught up for a blether at the track days / karting events. He was kind enough to offer many, many pax laps in his Elise / Noble / Exige over the years, and no doubt guided on many to an eventual Lotus purchase.

More importantly, he was great fun socially, with a superb dry wit.

A true gentleman - He'll be sadly missed.

Please include me, if any SE flowers are being arranged - PM me the details.

Ross.

Sad news - chatted with him on the few occasions I've done trackdays, or even at karting.

A few people have mentioned his impeccable dress sense, and I recall on one of his posts he made mention of his "supper club" - signs of a true gentleman.

A real shame.

Been away all day and just home, I don't know what to say. Stunned.

I first bumped into Brian when he had his Noble but never really got properly introduced, at my first trackday in the Exige he was the first guy to come up and introduce himself. An ever present at trackdays and allways a joy to be on track or converse with.

It's been said already but I don't think anyone will mind it being repeated, one of the most lovely gentlemen you could ever wish to meet.

RIP Brian, you will be missed.

Also his knowledge of wine and good food. I used to enjoy being able to talk about the great wines with him that I could no long afford, but that he was still imbibing.

The same with Oman where he went at least twice and I put him onto what was the Sultans Palace, and now is one of the finest Hotels in the Middle East. Wish that I still had one of the magnums of champagne left that he sent me a case of for tt2005.

He enjoyed the fine things in life, and deservedly so.

I am totally numbed at this sad news. Brian , always a gentleman, and great character will be missed by all. Seems just the other day that we were sitting in the Spittal of Glenshee, on the way up to Tut and Verians surprise party.

He will be greatly missed.

RIP Brian
