Who could forget Elizabeth, the Helicopter nurse and model, and Kirino, the Japanese Doctor. Of course they were all taken in except me. There were no indications in her postings.

Thank you for the address. I hope to come with you soon too. It would be
very exciting. I have Lotus Sport 111. It is a very nice car with black wheels and
seats. It is 175horsepower I think and will go 100 in 5.3 seconds. I like it
very much but I have to wait for the engine to get warm before I can go
faster. I do not know much about engines I am blond!! Hahaha. My friend told me
this was nice car and I love in it as soon as I see it. I have not yet had
anyone come in the other seat with me. There may be chance on this trip
maybe if you like.

I have to go to London for my assignment it is at a new agency http://www.bossmodels.com/.
I want to make good impression which is why I like maybe to take my new car.
My father has Jaguar which I could take but it feels to big for me inside.
I put on attachment picture of my car for interesting.

Just to show you that I was not taken in:-

Elizabeth
From your website, I presume that you are a model in your spare time.
I have just sent in my application and CV to your “Models Wanted” section, so hope to hear from you shortly
tut
Ps I can supply my own zimmer frame.
Pss My wife, picture attached, is also interested in getting into models. Maybe we could get together sometime for a threesome.

Hi tut

Your wife is very nice! I am a model as my big job. I do it because I like it but the money helps too. I model for mainly the diving equipment makers for cataloges. It is good work and I also keep my clothes on which is good. I have taken cloths off before but not only for the assignments like next week in London. It is not so easy for me to do as I am shaking being too shy.

Your wife should model too I cannot think she must not already. Do you joke with me? ;) It is not my agency but if it was I would have Lotus for every day of weeks! My other job is also as nurse on helicopters. I see picture attach for your interest. This was taken in Alaska when I was there for year doing glacier rescues.

I want to do more model work but it is very hard to find people to photo shoot me for portfolio. All people I meet to do this wants me bare. This is not fair I think as I only want catlogue work not glamour. Your wife should send me pictures or portfolio and I will take next week to London. She will be very much liked in my office as she seems very pretty.

E.x

Elizabeth
That is a big co-incidence since I was a helicopter pilot, and also had several nurses in my chopper.
Even more so as my wife also likes to wear diving suits.
We do have a lot in common.

Stop it, stop it, I'm greetin' here!!!!!

Shug

Hi Graeme!

I would very much like some Scottish meats. I have all has been some
sosauges which were too salty. I buy them from Tesco in the Fort William
but the taste was not too nice. Do you bring food to the trip or will we
have Shug buying it?

I have heard lots about Scottish meat it is very tender. Will there be many
mouths with Cristina and me as we are only small and hope to not be too much
in your faces. We can be loud too much if we are happy with party wine!

I am joking but I do want to try lots of meats because protiens are good for
you and I have to keep healthy skin for photo shoot.

I was thinking of asking for some advice actually - the standard tyres on the 27 are a bit skittish in the wet. Anyone aware of any better wet weather tyres for it?

Also, the fronts seem to be a wearing a little unevenly as you can see in the pic below of 'Suki' undergoing a c-service last year:-

Is it a case of simply getting a geo done you think, or is there a more fundamental issue? For reference I'm running the fans at 27,600 lbf.
When are you trading in the Tornado for a Typhoon or are you waiting a year for second hand prices to drop a little?

I'd wait for the Barnes Wallis limited edition in 2013.

hmm ok so this appears to be the logic of the small minded..if a guy comes along with a better car than you but cant provide a catalouge of photographic evidence to prove ownership then he is a troll and must surely be making the whole thing up? i have been driving for 22 years and never taken pictures of any of my cars. i buy the things to drive and cherish not to take photos of. I hate cameras and have no interest in photos, even ones of naked women. i have always prefered the real thing. As it ironicallyhappens yesterday I had set the wheels in motion to arrange a bit of a get together event in scotland in the summer where i could have met up with a few of you guys and you could have seen my 2 11 and a few of my other cars up close and personal, and I could have seen your cars too. i had also asked my wife, who was a pro photographer in years gone bye, to take a few shots of the Gallardo when she was free so that I could post them up on here, if i ever figured out how to do it. then i get this sh*t and the public school boy humour to go with it.

so draw your own conclusions.....troll ? or a 39 yearold guy from the south of england who started out with nothing, worked 14 hr days 7 days a week to build up a business, indulged a bit in his passion and bought a few interesting cars along the way, and has no interest in cameras. Discuss it, debate it, do whatever the fcuk you like inside your bubble.

thanks to the guys who made me feel welcome and sent some kind pm's to me during my short time on the forum.

Unfortunately there has been a few incidences in the past where members, and indeed trolls, create profiles and pretend to be someone that they are not. This has resulted in over scepticism on some peoples parts. Happens all the time on pistonheads which result in the Custard tin test where members take photos of the P and J with said custard tin. Please dont be offended by some of the comments, you are very welcome here and a well used tag line is you dont have to be Scottish and you dont even need to own an elise. We all share a passion for cars and dont let the naysayers put you off, they are a good bunch really!

Did you read my posts above Simon? Were you given anything other than a warm welcome when you first posted including from me? Did we think that you had a fantastic collection of cars? Would we love to have just one of them? Have we had problems from trolls and spammers in the past? Are we entitled to check that you are genuine?

Get down off your fcuking high horse and if you wish to be part of Scottish_Elises go about it in the right way, as you stand with your present attitude you will be no loss to anybody.

Exactly.

More expensive does not equate to better, and is a presumptuous remark to come out with when you have just joined a Forum of Elise enthusiasts.

Quote me out of context if you must but read back and you will see that i was saying that from the respective of the small minded minority. And the last thing in the world i am is elitist, I was brought up on a council estate in yorkshire where we didnt know where our next meal was coming from which has made me a grounded down to earth bloke. Did I not say that i loved my 205gti as much as my Gallardo ?

lol, did I quote you out of context? When you make a statement like that in the first line you kinda lay down the context of your post, no? I think my comment was fair, there are plenty of guys on here with perhaps similar backgrounds to you, we aren't all public schoolboys (well, apart from Ed :) )

For the record I didn't call you a troll but can see why scepticism arose, if you feel like posting whatever pics you have there is a splendid how to guide here http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... f=9&t=1350

PS, we are actually quite a friendly bunch, most of what is written here is very much tongue in cheek or banter between mates, dont get too wound up by it.

Back on topic:

If you've just got the car and it's not been driven or the tyres are new they are going to be pretty poor until they get scrubbed in a bit, especially in cold temps. Mine always feel poor on the first run after winter, it take a lot longer to sort in the cold when you can't really get them working.

I don't know your history but compared to the cars on your list the 2 - 11 will be a different driving style, so for me anyway needs time to get used to - especially compared to 911's which I know pretty well.

And finally, I usually run 048's 24psi in the cold 20-22 when it warms up and 18-20 for odd visit to the track. I have 039's on a spare set of wheels which will go on if it looks like a monsoon, but it's a rare occurance and I wouldn't bother for the 2-11 you'll not get more grip just less aquaplaning and I'm sure you'd take something else out if it was raining.

Kerry (originally considered a girl on here - tut will remember. But the funniest thing was all the warnings I got from the others.)

PS keep it light hearted it's no fun either way. You'll get more help on here to sort problems than anywhere else.

I guess I am in the small minded minority you refer too.
If indeed you do own all the cars in your sig I think you are very fortunate and far from being resentful because I don't have the range of cars you do I am pleased for you and wish you good health to enjoy them.
However your 'look at me' sig and posts do not endear me , or others, to you and to be honest normally those who have extensive vehicle collections ( and there are a few on here) are the last people to shout about it.
So if you are the hard working individual from humble background, apologies for the cynicism, well done and welcome. If not fess up and you will find you are accepted for what you are not what you have.
