Taking my car into John Duthies tomorrow, and he is changing all my new Kumho tyres onto the original S1 wheels, then giving it a complete check over and then a full valet inside and out.

All on the house.

Car has been given thorough shakedown after winter hibernation, seems to be going well although new tyres definitely needed.

Think new brake pads might also be a sensible precaution, midweek spanners session anyone?

Get him to sort your Geo out.

I was a little worried following you last week, car looked to be pulling right when accelerating and left when braking.

Don't think we can afford new tyres this month so P Hero's all the way ....

That's what it was doing on N1 a few years ago driving down to KH on mixed tyres, and probably the rear wheels pointing in the same direction. It was the day that Paul from Dreadnought challenged me to a fastest lap competition and his father closed the track for a while.

Hi all, kevin with the white exige s let me know about this on seloc.

I should hopefully pick the car up on Wednesday and not too keen on tracking it just yet but would be keen to meet a few of you.

What time will people be getting there and is anyone meeting in or around Edinburgh beforehand?

Thanks,

Woza.

Picking the car up from Dan on Friday. So barring any problems on the dyno on Thursday it will be singing sweet with the full throttle shift configured.
Looking forward to the straights where the foot wont be comming off the loud pedal one bit till the braking point.

It may sound a bit strange going past the pit area on the gear change..

Should dyno at a whisker under 200 bhp.

Pax laps available for any one daft enough..
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

Unless it's Mr G's defective cousin who didn't listen and I think was the only person at the circuit who didn't know he was going to spin off...

Tut, that's a loose rear toe link or a worn/loose subframe ...

Likely to be the toe links as John did not fit the new uniball end joints as the brackets were worn. He adjusted them to pass the MOT, but I think I need my pit crew to have a look at them.

Twill be less noticeable on the track than on the road, but I checked on the drive in today and it is fairly evident.

For a 9 o'clock start, most will get there before 8.45 i'd have thought to get the briefing over as sharply as possible.

I'll be there to show face weather dependant, but am not going on track either. Not really too confident in the car (myself) yet.

Will be bringing my dad along too, trying to get him into tracking, though first i'll have to get him to buy a track car! Will be annoying people for pax rides...

Sold my place due to no car but not going to make it just to view either, travelling in any car is agony so sadly I have to miss the event altogether, hope you all have a great day and keep it on the track!

Make sure someone posts some pics up for me to see! :thumbsup

Chris, get there at 0845 and you will miss the briefing. Most of us get there by 0800.

Is anyone travelling up from the Ayrshire/Glasgow area who would like to meet beforehand for the journey up?

Kevin.
