I thought about posting about Senna, but then 3 times world champion Jackie Stewart helped develop the Ford Mondeo I believe... ;)

Some interesting ideas here, though some are as much a supercar as the 3000 GT (i'm looking at you XK8...)

Does a VW Phaeton W12 count as a supercar :?:

I guess it does really depend on what defines a "Supercar"
For me this would fall into the category for me but probably more a classic than a supercar

As mentioned earlier this would be high on my list :thumbsup

That is amazing :love

I wonder if they'd like to swap a lunatic green plastic go cart rover for it...

Greg - you may be able to get a £20k super car but the running costs and the cost of replacement parts will still be in that league.

If its going to be old you need yo find a good specialist to take care of it for you.

Also worth getting them to fully inspect the car first.

What are you thinking of yourself? Do you have a garage?

Been in a DB7 Vantage, but they are big cruisers rather than Supercars. Fast but cumbersome.

Get a shortlist together then lets talk - hunting and buying is the best bit anyhow :cheers

I was mate. Change of circumstances prevented that.

Just as well though really as I am now of the opinion it would have been a very bad idea. Spent a good bit of time with one and apart from the engine they're pretty uninspiring and feel surprisingly cheap in the build quality department. Too much Ford switch gear etc.

Think I'd rather sink that kinda money into an old Fezza (probably 348 cos I like them) and take my chances.

Actually, these days I'm much more likely to buy an E-type or other such achingly beautiful classic. God I'm getting old!

348 said not to be a good fezza... Almost bought one instead of my V8 esprit but put off by service costs and reports of poor handling, one of the ones I looked at was rusting too :( 355 for me of a nice 328, bit more cash would have me in an F40 though  348 has stronger residuals than the Esprit though I lost £5k on mine in a year.. And over £30K on the 88 turbo I did up  lesson learnt :blackeye

Yup, well aware of the reputation of the 348 and have driven a couple. Thing is though, for me, that's not what owning a Ferrari is about. Let's face it, at that age (355 included) they all feel sh*t in the handling department compared to an Elise and they're all utterly useless on track.

For me, an old Ferrari is something for a drive out on a nice day rather than hooning about in. It's about the sense of occasion and the V8 soundtrack and the 348 is just as good at this as the rest of them. And as I said in my other post, I like them. I like the look of them. It was the V8 Ferrari when I was a young teenager and that's what it's all about. :D

So, I'd have a 348 thanks. ;)
