Radio aerial, where does it go?

I thought bad radio reception was just part of elise ownership but when I could only pick up radio 2 in the centre of Glasgow I figured maybe something was amiss!
Pulled the radio out and measured the resistance down the wire and it went right off the scale (almost) but ok from whip to where it leaves the engine bay. So a bit of a break some where along the line, but where does it run and is it easy to get to?

I suspect it must run inside the chasis rail.

Is the connection at the engine end ok.
