Yikes!!
I had the 360 and 911 serviced on monday.
Major Service plus quickshifter fitted for the 911 and Major Service plus belts for the 360
Combined total was (just) less than your TT service and I thought I was being spanked

The garage was recommended to us as opposed to the main Audi agent.

Not actually a rip off there was a hell of a lot to do. Ian could probably post a list. However four hours labour to replace two front wheel bearings sounds excessive.

Just got my TT out the garage after putting it in for a new power steering rack following a pretty catastrophic failure. Car was off the road for over four weeks while they tried to source me a rack. Audi had a twelve week back order  Sourced three second hand ones - all turned out to be beyond economic refurb, sent mine downsouth to be refurbed to be told it was too far gone, and ended up managing to buy one from an Audi dealer in Bradford (which broke lots of rules apparently as it seems that the audi service network aren't allowed to share stock across the dealers. Despite having them on back order. )

So I ended up paying £750 for a new rack plus five hours fitting. And I still had to send my fuct one back to them or there was another £100 surcharge

Turns out while it was in that two of my wheels hd gone square due to the potholes on my commute and both tyres were damaged. So a new set of wheels too and a new pair of tyres (following a new pair less than six months ago when I tore both within three days on particularly nasty potholes...)

The minor service I had done at the same time was pennies in comparison...

German car prices, eh? As Renmure says, it makes the Italian equivalents look honest

I still think the biggest rip off was when I took my Boxster S into the Porsche garage in Edinburgh. (9 yrs old)
Basically, it had a major service done 18 months ago, but it had only done 2,000 miles since it.
So, they said all it need was an oil change.
OK, how much is that ?
£410 he replied....... and that didnt include an oil filter - he said you only change that every 2nd oil change
Anyway, didnt take his advice, left him & walked straight over to the parts dept & bought an oil filter. (£16)
then went to Costco & bought a twin pack of 2 x 4L of Mobil 1 oil. for £28
A local mechanic in Leith changed my oil & filter for me for £20 - took him 15 mins.

robbing gits - the bloody lot of them.

Ian / Tut, feeling your pain. Nothing worse than spending so much money only to put it back to health and not have any modifications to show for the outlay. :(
