25th July Run out / BBQ - Central /Northern Area

Hi,

After being to a few meets now and grateful for the welcome always offered Im pleased to be offering a meet in return.

A mate and I usually organise 3 or 4 runs a year on PH. We normally have anywhere from 40 - 60 cars and they are a great laugh. We have been getting asked more recently for a bit more social run so and we thought we'd make this one a bit different.

The Run will leave Stirling Granada services at 9.30am there will be a couple of stops for photos, natural breaks etc and somewhere for a quick snack late morning. It will then be a further run finishing at Broomhall Castle, Menstrie (nr stirling) for a bbq. We aim to be back for the bbq at around 2.30pm. The castle have promised plenty of great food, good parking facilities and a big hall if the weather isnt kind, so they are well organised (they host tvr meets there at the moment). It should run till 6ish but they are happy to have us there as long as we want.

The bbq will cost £10 per adult and £6.50 per child with £2 from every ticket going to charity. I have agreed with Broomhall Castle who are delighted to be involved in this and all the proceeds will be going towards the AMP3 charity night total for donation to cancer Research.

We thought at these costs it still worked out cheaper than buying food, disposable barbies etc and then we dont need to wait on Dom trying to light them or mckean nearly setting everybody on fire.

We hope to be able to do a small raffle on the day aswell to top up the funds but the day is mainly about everybody having a good run, good fun and good food.

For any Northerners who may fancy it, we are looking at the snack break to be in the Northern area somewhere so you are welcome to meet us at that point and do the 2nd half of the run and join us for food.

Finally, anybody is welcome to do the run or the bbq aswell, we hope you can join us for a good run out and hopefully make a few quid for a good cause. The PH massive are all as nuts as you guys and as we speak to broomhall castle owner and manager are trying to get 4th gear working in a last minute dash to get an ancient tvr fixed to take it to france tomorrow. (An ancient tvr bought, after 4 bottles of wine, as a laugh, off ebay) With patrons like this we must be in good hands!
