hey Mark,

I'm sorry I didnt realise you were there today, I would have liked to thank you in person for helping me find my car. I did hear somebody saying they were "just taking mark out for a pax" and I didnt click.

Hopefully meet you at the next one,

cheers

I've not really done many days at knockhill the past couple of years, partly due to over exposure to the circuit, and partly due to not enjoying the 135R as much as the old honda shed. But today was like trackdays of old. I did more miles this morning than at any of the french frolic tracks, and thouroughly enjoyed the lack of grip :D

Took out quite a few passengers, they all seemed to like the oversteery nature of my car with bald R888's on the rear. The best passenger had to be Pauline. The scream as i turned into duffus on the first lap made me slow down a tad, until i realised that screams meant go faster and sideway was best  . very enthusiastic, top job :thumbsup

There was a guy at the hairpin who was a friend of the yellow Evo, who was taking pictures, so hopefully he will send me a few of them. I think John also got a few of me at Macyntyres, so hopefully he posts them up when he gets a chance.

Think my brother got some high definition super slow mo of you going sideways at the hairpin. It will look cool.

Well spotted :)

I have the dates confused with an anniversary!

The correct date is: Saturday 18th September :)

Had a great day today. As always, meeting some of you is what it's all about and as always, it was a pleasure.

I've only had the car a couple of weeks, so today's rain was an opportunity to explore the limits at a lower speed and have a little fun at the hairpin in the process

Driving standards were impeccable as usual and I'm very much looking forward to the next SIDC.

Huge thanks again to John S.
Cheers,

Simon

With Mckean on this one. Took a while for me to bother going on track as I was shattered after my week but when I did :damnfunny :damnfunny sideways!

Actually I blame robin for telling me to take Tom out. Then clearly it became a contest for the ape and myself to see who could have the most sideways paxing experience, winding each other up :

"the end of the rack and back" became toms and my new phrase after his second paxing session, where I really tried to up the anti :cheers

Great to see everyone meet new faces and have the place to ourselves. Most suprisingly we must have had 7people that were on ff9 just last week.

Best kh day of the year so far, and if I didn't get time to take you for a pax, I apologise, I was quite simply having too much fun :

Now get yourselves signed up for amp3 and I look forward to seeing you all there.

Flip flop - glad you went out with our friendly touring car driver. Suspect that will set you up well and congrats on keeping it on the black stuff in testing conditions on your first td :thumbsup

Justin, I ike the last pic of Robin in colour.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Great pics Justin.

Your new car looks absolutely fantastic incidentally; you must be very pleased with it.

Had I knon you were floating about the pits, I'd have come said hello. Never mind, there's always next time.
Cheers,

Simon

I did actually say Hi at one point. I believe you know Ali (Z4M). Went to the Ring with him two years ago in his Clio V6.

I'll no doubt be at another KH day, hopefully when the car is run in and can take it on track! :)

Did you? Sorry mate, I've got a memory like a sieve!

Yes I know Ali -I was out with him and a mutual friend last weekend for a trip up to Glenshee.

Looking forward to seeing the beast on track. I had thought I might be in an Exige S this year after paying Graeme a visit at Murray in February. Alas, I took the boring option and I'm now in another BMW :tired

Catch you at the next one :cheers

Simon

The only "sideways" shot I got, complete with wave though which must be worth a bonus point or two ;)
