Car dilema - 430 replacement

Scud looks mean and purposeful and different enough from a 430 to feel like a different car.
SL looks like a bit like a normal gallardo that's trying too hard.
Not sure you would get the same sense of occasion in the Porsche but bet they would be fairly functional on track.

You had a spectacular result with the sale of the 430 but don't count on it happening again.........

There is nothing on that list with decent residuals and even second hand..... they are all set to pill the price of a family saloon on a annual basis.

(The trick is to buy a car that is sought after and in short supply)

The GT3 will be the least depreciating model on the list but there are a good few around at the moment.
I think you would enjoy the whole GT3 ownership package and they are supremely capable on track.

Leftfield Choice?

Does not have the "wow factor" of the others , but a Nissan GTR will destroy almost any supercar on track.......and be driven home/across continents in reasonable comfort. It will depreciate as well but it's all relative
(I just happen to know where there is a minty one being traded in as well)

^Don't agree. Maybe an old GT3 won't depreciate much but the new ones will.

My mate Pete who has a 2-11 in the SW Stable has a 600+ BHP GTR, i think he has/had a LP560.

I think he might be at brands this weekend in his exige. Do you want me to ask him to take you for a hurl. Its awesome.

I'd always go Porsche but they depreciate! 997.2 GT3

360CS, 996 GT3 RS or Ford GT would be safe money

You'll lose a bit more than £2k on a Scuderia or Superleggera IMHO

The Superleggera will hold its money well IMO

They are currently proving hard to shift in the trade.
Murmers about reliability with the requirement for engine out for almost every repair resulting in huge repair bills.
E gear is also an acquired taste.

This seems to be underpinned when I spoke to aN owner who chopped his in for a 360 CS because of the running costs

I might know someone that has a fairly low build slot up for grabs.

They were at the launch on Friday. McLaren want a non refundable £15k deposit , but they have not said how much the cars will be. Min 160k but could be 220k+. I believe the car is going to be something special in the handling department.

I was at Brands on Monday and someone was ragging there 1 week old 458 round the track I've really grown to like the look of the car.

I was thinking along the same lines as Dom. Esprit or quicker version of Evora.
Hardly surprising they are struggling with a blower - there is no space for it unless you just strap it on the back.

the GTR has worse running costs that any of my list though, and its meant to be hugely dull to steer.

See its not as easy a slam dunk as it was last time when i got the 430.

I reckon the Scud wouldnt move much once they are down nearer to £100, but thats a good 24 months off.

Superleggera - relaibility and servicing costs concern me, but i have always wanted a lambo - catching up with a man who knows a thing or two about them tonight

Had heard some chat that the GT2 was hugely under-rated, and quite like that fact that the 911 experience would be in the "daddy" of the versions. It was being likened to the "widow maker" till Porsche made a few changes to make it more driveable

Without doubt sensible call is R8, but then, who knows how many of these decisions you'll ever get to make??
