I'm sorry if this has been done to death, but I cant find much info on the matter.
I have the old style bulb rear lights on my 05 exige. I have bought a set of leds, so will be fitting them shortly. However, does anyone know of a way of having all four light up as per the outer two? I have seen photos of it and prefer it. Would it be necessary/ possible to buy another set of outers and just change the central bulbs? Alternatively, can they be rewired?
Thanks.

Re: Exige Rear Light Configurations
nope - the "all four" are the US set and are not legal over here.
you have to have the rear fogs hooked up (inner lights) and orange spots on the outer for turn signals. all outers wouldn't have fogs and you would have four turn signals (which i'm sure with some trickery you could bypass but would look crap anyway) and inners don't light up all the way round.. if you look at the inners you'll see there are holes for lights all the way round however LEID's only go half way round - turn the fogs on and you therefore get two half moons - if that makes sense.
basically - the most you can have is two full circles on outer then when on you will also have two half moons on the inner (which due to being fogs are insanely bright)
i put LED's on mine as well and looked into the same thing

Re: Exige Rear Light Configurations
Hi,
I am interested in changing my rear lights to the LED style. Can you advise on where you bought the LEd upgrade kit from? Did you get a new wiring harness etc as well to alter the voltage etc?
Thanks for your help

Hi, I just bought them off a guy on ebay. There is a set on at the moment: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LOTUS-ELISE-EXIGE ... 255c68c16a
If the link doesnt work, the item id is: 160464159082
You need a couple of adapters (cheap from Bell & Colville) for the wiring and perhaps one for the third break light. I didnt need this, but I think some do. The lights I bought cam with the adapters and were fitted in minutes. Its a very simple swap. You'll need to check with the seller what comes with the lights.
I wouldnt bother going to Lotus, they quoted me circa £650 for the lot fitted. That set on ebay are currently at £120. Fitting should be buttons.
The LEDs look much beter than the standard lights and I would definitely recommend the swap.
