I remember reading Michael Schumacher had one of these

Go along with that Tony. Move over Veyron.

Optional normally aspirated 'S' version offers 628/660 bhp and 590 lb.ft of torque.

Optional twin turbocharged 'T' version produces 1012 bhp and 1036 lb.ft of torque.

Agreed Phil, I don't know Andy but considering he's sold a 430 and his shortlist consists of Lamobs, Ferarris, and Porsches I'm pretty sure a Bristol is not the sort of thing he's after!

Also I doubt if half a million pound Bugattis and 20 year-old Countaches fill the requirements of 'good road and track car' and 'pain-free ownership'

But he has 2 track cars so me thinks the track thing isn't a priority, but I know it'll need to be able to corner and stop well on a good b road blat should the mood take him..

bet the bristol is fun to drive.
would i consider it over a gallardo - never!

my thinking, and i like to think, would be:
if ive had a lambo before, id maybe consider the Audi.
if ive never had a porche, or a lambo, id get the lambo.
if ive never had an aston or a porche, or a lambo, id get the dbs.
then id get the lambo
might get the audi, but not really, prefer the classic makes, might get the audi if scared of the lambo breaking.
and i wouldnt get a 911, id get a cayman.

as for ferrari, 430 after a 360, not before - 430 seems the better car.
maybe a front engined ferrari next - 599 looks great imho.

id look ahead to the potential for a new esprit and that amazing engine, if it get it - and how amazing it would be to own one of the first new ones.
so... with that in mind, and the need to save money, to me the most sensible option is to get the special 360 as its lost most of its value already - tho its more track focused than the others, from a financial point of view it would be best and special. think you might find it abit old after the 430 tho. and you might wish u had bought the lambo at least once, however it and the others will loose too much money i recon.

if they dont put a price on it, u know u wont loose money on it : http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1166190.htm
means u can go racing too - historical racing, now thats gotta be a great ownership experience?

If not losing money is priority, it should be the 360CS. We both know how good the car is on and off the track.

I want you to get a scud, simply because I want to have a shot

However, I have a feeling you will scratch the itch and get a Gallardo. Go for a spyder and forget tracking the lambo except for the AMP3 day.

When you get the car, we have to organise another terror session in the borders :damnfunny :damnfunny :damnfunny

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.
