Hi Jen

What a great start to the day to read how much better a position Alan is now in :thumbsup

Here's hoping that things continue to improve day by day for him.

Is the best way to email him by pm?

Yeah it is good news, I spoke to him this morning and he's quite sore though. But hopefully once his arm is stitched up he will feel better as he will start healing then.

Best way to contact him is probably by PM, or if you want to text him, PM me and I'l pass on his number. :thumbsup

Cheers
Jen

Good to hear he is on the mend.

With regards to the nerve damage; (disclaimer I am no expert; but) I had damaged nerves in my foot a few years ago; had an op to have them removed; subsequently had no feeling in my foot for several months; after which the nerves grew back in, and normal service was resumed. Here's hoping he'll have a similarly positive experience.

That is good news. It must be a massive relief that there was no heart damage. I hope Alan's arm and leg recover well and that, Jen, the awful image of seeing him like that fades quickly from your mind.

All the best

Thank you all for the kind words, it really has helped.

Jen was fantastic, keepinh pressure on the wound as I filled the hall with blood. You were very calm and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you.

Thanks to everyone for cleaning up, the help we have received has been un believable.

I can move my fingers but not my hand. So sideways action might be off the cards for a little while.

I'm off for my 2nd op and hopefully get my decafiter out, which is a 10mm od pipe by the by.

Thanks again

Jen

Sorry we missed you by 2 minutes last night, glad Alan is feeling better today. Fingers crossed he will make a full recovery soon. You have some nursing to do

I left you en-suit in the van last night as it was to late to make the dump. I got in the van this morning and it was stinking. I thought it was the rotten wood, but Ive just been to the dump and it looks like a couple of bags of rotting grass cuttings make it into the van. :puke

Will try and catch up with Alan over the weekend.

I have loads of Evo and Octane mags, if he wants to borrow them.

Cheers

Scotty

Good to see you posting again Alan! Hope the op goes well. Less of the graphic descriptions would be nice though - some of us are a bit squeamish :-)

Great to see you posting already Alan and starting the road to recovery. Don't get disheartened if some of the progress is slow, it takes time but will get there in the end, as shown by Brian Laing.

Hope they do a better job with your catheter than they did with mine, I was bursting after my spine operation, but the two nurses obviously were not a pit team, one put the tube in without the other putting the bag on, so both they and half of Ward 48 got soaked.

Will check with Jen first, but hoping to get in for a visit. Verian sends her love and best wishes, Clare would have been in but she is down in London.

All the best mate,

tut

ps me thinketh that you brag a bit, mine was smaller bore than that.

Aye - good to see you've got your priorities sorted. Get access to SE as soon as poss!

It must have taken you an hour to type that out.
