I knew I had seen import numbers for GT3's quoted somewhere, so I had another trawl round the web today and found the following on 911UK.com:

997 GT3
Model Year 2007 - 159
Model Year 2008 - 89
TOTAL 248

997 GT3 RS
Model Year 2007 - 78
Model Year 2008 - 41
TOTAL 119

There are only two makes of car that most insurers will not offer Gap Cover on finance

Aston and Range Rover

You could however.... go for the double :D

Lol - had one of these at my trackday too. (in case you haven't realised yet, I am the 'poor' friend ! )

Image

I went out in a pax in it and it is such a heavy car. You really feel the weight of it at the dip before the chicane. Guessing by looking at GT3s you might make the odd venture out on track in whatever you buy. This didn't feel at home at all on the track. He wasn't driving it particularly hard but after an hour his tyres were like mush!
Although Mark is right. Knowing what he paid for this, that one for sale is cheap.

Replacement issue might be sorted later today, dependant on a cheeky wee offer getting accepted.

In which case I think you should enter it in the Bo'nessHillclimb :

http://www.bonesshillclimb.org.uk/2010-event.html

In fact you could double-enter with McKeann, since it's practically in his back yard and I am sure he knows the lanes really well so the new car will be in very safe hands

The bo'ness hillclimb is for classic cars unfortunately, or i would have entered it previously.
